Intel Launches 'Experience Intel. Look Inside.'™

6-Month Global Tour to Introduce Consumers to Intel-Powered Devices

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 16, 2013 - Intel Corporation today launched "Experience Intel. Look Inside."™, a global tour to introduce consumers to a range of cutting-edge devices based on Intel products including the Ultrabook™, thin and light laptops, tablets, all-in-ones and smartphones.

In collaboration with customers and retailers, the tour will feature a custom-built installation that will travel to cities around the globe over the next 6 months, providing guests with a variety of highly collaborative and visual interactions to experience Intel technology in new and creative ways.

Attendees will be invited to experience the newest Ultrabook convertibles, 2-in-1 Intel-inspired devices that flip, fold and swivel from laptop to tablet. Guests will also have the opportunity to play with a range of Intel-powered products, including thin and light laptops, tablets, smartphones and all-in-ones.

"We're very excited to tour the world and show consumers how the laptop has been reinvented," said Kevin Sellers, vice president of Sales and Marketing and director of Creative Services and Digital Marketing. "The industry has rallied around our vision and produced some stunning new products— including Ultrabooks that detach or convert to be both a tablet as well as full-featured PCs. When consumers touch and play with these new devices we are confident that they will be as excited about them as we are."

Launching today in New York, the "Experience Intel"  tour will host some of today's most relevant artists, designers and thought leaders to create customized, cutting-edge digital interactions, all powered by the Ultrabook. The installations span art, data visualization and gaming, providing audiences with creative introductions to the Ultrabook's unique capabilities and features.

Designer Matt Pyke of Universal Everything has created an experiential design that transforms guests' drawings — completed on Ultrabooks — into a digital flock of "wings" projected on the interior walls of the installation. Additionally, The Office of Creative Research, a multi-disciplinary research group, has created custom data visualizations around the evolution of the computer, highlighting dramatic changes in speed, power and the size of computers in recent history. In addition, Hide & Seek, an independent gaming studio, has designed the first game created specifically for Ultrabook convertibles.

In each city, "Experience Intel" will host a Spotlight Series, featuring live performances and demonstrations by hyper-local, notable personalities and experts—from film, art, fashion, design, music, and more –who integrate Ultrabook technology into their work. Each day, several Ultrabooks will be given to select audience members following certain spotlight performances. Guests will also have the opportunity to receive a discount towards a new Ultrabook. In certain tour locations, e-recycling will be available to attendees to recycle their old PCs safely and responsibly.

"Experience Intel" kicks off in New York's Gansevoort Plaza on May 17 and runs through May 19. The free installation is open to the public starting at 10 a.m. all three days.
